Smart City Consulting Services - These 1 hour web sessions provide
overviews of 4 types of smart cities

Smart City Option A

Smart City Option A shares examples of constituent-led Smart City initiatives where people have self-organized to take the lead and co-design what they want to see in their Smart City then offer these solutions and project opportunities for private sector investors, government, and developers to invest in real estate, new infrastructure, and development programs that will succeed because the community has determined they want these changes to take effect. The expectation is re-investment to make the old new again, make smart use of data, people, trust networks, and creative solutions by engaging community members who know what they want and how to fix things.

The goal is sustainable Smart City solutions owned in partnership between constituents, third-party investors, and government who work in coalition to drive economic development in micro-communities, workforce development for skilled Smart City labor, and to create jobs creation in revitalization projects that increase city and regional property value.

Smart City Option B

Smart City Option B shares examples of private sector investors, government, and developers who've decided to invest in real estate and put their own new infrastructure, technology, and policies in place to take a controlling position in a way that they expect will provide value to all stakeholders.

The strategy behind the Net New Smart City is very interesting as it presents many exciting opportunities to create new systems that are designed with urban life in mind and shared resources as a goal for sustainability.

The planning phases for cities like these can be arduous but the outcomes look promising. Smart City Option C

Smart City Option C shares examples of Private Smart Cities and Districts owned by investors, technology vendors, and real estate developers who install infrastructure, policy, and governance of their own design that does not include government services, support systems, or social programs available in current cities.

The Private Smart City is run by a corporate CEO, controlled by stakeholders, and managed by people who expect returns on investment from the activities, transactions, services and individuals living in the city. Success criteria and metrics for performance are understood in advance and there are no existing processes or bureaucracies to navigate.
